Welcome. You are here because technology interests you. Maybe you code for a living. Maybe you are learning. Maybe you just wonder how things work under the surface. Whatever brought you here, you belong.
This is umakiran.com. An independent space where technology is not treated as a set of tools to memorize, but as a way of thinking to develop.
What Makes This Blog Different
Most tech blogs tell you what to learn. Which framework is hot. Which language pays more. Which tool will make you faster. That is not what you will find here.
Instead, I ask different questions.
Why do some developers stay relevant for decades while others burn out in years? What separates a solution that works today from one that lasts for years? When automation does the execution, what is left for humans to do?
I do not claim to have all the answers. But I have spent years as a Java Full Stack and Automation developer working with Camunda, Appian, and Pega. I have debugged at midnight. I have watched projects succeed and fail. I have learned lessons that no tutorial ever taught me.
This blog is where I share those lessons.
What You Will Discover Here
Do not expect quick tips or listicles. Expect thoughtful articles that make you pause and reflect.
You will find content about:
-
Programming and development concepts that actually stick
-
Automation platforms and how to think about them clearly
-
The human side of technology, including judgment, responsibility, and learning
-
Practical insights from real experience, not theory alone
Every article is written with one goal. To leave you more curious than when you arrived.
A Few Things I Want You to Know
This blog is independent. No company controls what I write. No sponsor influences my opinions. What you read comes from my own experience and reflection.
The content is for educational and informational purposes only. I am a developer sharing what I have learned, not a consultant offering professional advice. Always verify critical information before acting on it.
I strive for accuracy and clarity, but technology changes fast. If something feels incomplete or outdated, you are probably right. I update content when I can.
Why You Should Stay
If you are looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do, this may not be the place for you. I do not have a five step formula to make you an expert in a week.
But if you are looking for a voice that thinks carefully, writes honestly, and respects your intelligence, you have found the right spot.
I write because I believe technology is not about keeping up. It is about thinking clearly. And clear thinking never goes out of style.
Let Me Leave You With This
Every person who visits this blog arrives with a question. Sometimes it is loud and obvious. Sometimes it is quiet, hiding behind curiosity or uncertainty.
What is your question?
Take a look around. Read something that catches your eye. If it makes you think differently, I have done my job. If it makes you question what you believed, even better.
Get in Touch
Curious about something specific? Disagree with something I wrote? Want to share your own experience?
I would genuinely like to hear from you.
